Its been a busy few months here in the workshop…(hence the lack of updates).
We have taken on some great new artists and are continuing to grow our family into different genres and circles.
We have been to the studio and on location to help our boys Massai to record their new video and single which is in production as we speak and is looking sick!
We are also pleased to announce the arrival of a new SecondSkins Tshirt to add to our merch collection so keep those eyes pealed guys!
We have plenty of new pics and artist bio’s coming in the next week for you to check out (highly recommended!) and we look forward to continuing tobuild our SecondSkins Custom Drum Co family as we go forward into this year.
As you guys may have seen, our boy Harry Brown has just come back from SXWS festival in Texas!
His band Jimi’s Parade played there last week at tore it up!
After surviving a bus crash on the way the boys made it and we are happy to say Harry repped his SecondSkins Custom Drums to the full!
Keep an eye on these guys, big things are in the pipe line!
This year is going to be a big one for SecondSkins we have some great new artist signing with us and we are really excited about it! We are looking to take on some more great artists to really get behind, support and have our kits played all over the world!!!
We also have a few cheeky new demo kits coming out that will be turning some heads….keep your eyes out folks!
First of all, we would like to let you know what we here at SecondSkins Custom Drums have been up to lately…
It was a great 2010 for us, and we would like to say thanks to all of our great fans and customers! We took on some great artists to rep us and help us spread the good word!
As promised here are a few pictures of our boy Jonathon Rodney’s kit.
This kit has been pretty busy this year and has been all around the world even as far as Time Square in New York for a gig supporting Justin Timberlake!
Another awesome artist repin SecondSkins is our boy Harry Brown. This kit was a great build for us as it’s finished in a ghost black paint and then Tung oiled for a satin finish that works beautifully! This kit is also destined for great places and Jimi’s Parade (Harry Brown’s Band) are booked to play Frankfurt, Germany, Norway, France and the amazing South by Southwest festival in Texas.
So here’s to this new year, we have some awesome new kits and projects coming soon including some artist collaborations on some lucky shells that we will be showing off in a few locations…..We will keep you informed!
This month has been sooo busy we haven’t really had any time to post but we promise we are now back and posting!
We have been working on a few different kits this month for our artists Jonathon Rodney and Harry Brown.
Jonathan was looking for a special lil something for his upcoming UK tour so we made it happen! His kit is a large 5 piece with a beautiful matching snare drum on top. We set out to make something special and decided that our shells had such amazing grain patterns we were going to show them off! We dyed them a deep dark almost racing green and then waxed them with a hard wax finish.

Harry’s kit is equally special, with just a light ghosting of black paint we have highlighted the grain of the birch an given the kit a smoky dark finish. This is all accented with cream powdercoated hardware.

We will be at the Atomlive Convention 2010 During March showing our latest from SecondSkins Custom Drum Co. We have new custom produce for you to check out and try! Among this will be our new kits, custom wrap stand, custom finished shells and surprise Bluetooth givaways!
